The 21,030 acre Butler Fire in the Six Rivers National Forest is 47% contained, but a lot of interior pockets of fuel are still burning and a lot of debris is still rolling onto roadways on some of the perimeter. Reopening Sawyers Bar and Salmon River Roads is a top priority. A possibility of dry lightning continues over the next several days, and crews are ready to respond to new starts, which are more possible as higher temperatures and lower humidity combine to dry out vegetation.
