Snow levels are back to high elevations and there are no more chain requirements on major Northstate highways, but widespread flooding is being experienced in low lying areas. Highway 99 is closed to traffic at around 5 O’clock Friday morning as more than a foot of water has accumulated on the roadway just north of Dairyville. A full closure in both directions will remain in effect until the water can drain away.
