An annual count of homeless people is underway in Redding. The “Point-In-Time Count” began Tuesday night at the Good News Rescue Mission and continued Wednesday as outreach teams will fan out through the community to count as many people as possible on the streets and in camps. The count helps determine how much relief funding is provided to local agencies to assist the unsheltered population.
