Homeless Man Sparks 5 Acre Fire Near Weaverville

A homeless man has been arrested in Trinity County after he reportedly admitted that he started a fire after attempting to burn rubbish, but due to wind and high temperatures, the fire got out of control and burned about five acres. About 4PM on Saturday, the fire was reported in the Weaver Bally area of Weaverville. During the course of the investigation Logan Corbett-Hanger was located and arrested. He has been placed in the Trinity County Jail on charges of willfully burning land and causing a fire to burn on forest land.
