A Hotshot Wildland Firefighter has been badly injured while working the Lone Pine Fire near Willow Creek. Diego Rivera was struck by a burning tree that fell while he was battling the fire in the Six Rivers National Forest. The accident happened last Wednesday and Diego has since undergone two surgeries. He remains in intensive care. A GoFundMe campaign has raised nearly $75,000.
