House Fire That Left Woman Dead Considered “Suspicious”

The death of a woman in a Corning-area structure fire is considered suspicious. At 3:30PM Saturday afternoon Cal-Fire arrived at a burning house on Kraft Avenue just outside Corning City Limits. Inside the house, firefighters found the body of 40-year-old Raquel Luz Hernandez. Tehama County Sheriff’s Detectives were called, and the investigation is ongoing.
