It’s all about the apples at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area’s Harvest Festival this weekend. The event includes live music, heirloom apple tastings, an apple baking contest, cider press demonstrations, walking tours of the restored orchard and around Camden House, corn husk doll making, gold panning, croquet and more. Visitors are asked to park at Oak Bottom and catch a free shuttle to the Tower House District. The Festival is this Saturday from 10 to 2.
