Redding’s Neighborhood Police Unit, which has been re-assigned from Investigations to Patrol, led a multi-agency takedown of theft suspects last week that led to 68 arrests, 15 of them felonies. Officers also wrote 47 citations. The two day operation focused on shoplifting at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, TJ Maxx, Target, Home Depot, Raley’s and both Safeways. More suspected thieves were also arrested in a warrant sweep.
