Human skeletal remains have been discovered in Western Trinity County. They were discovered Friday in a wooded area of Mad River near the Humboldt County line. No signs of trauma were initially seen, but pathologists will conduct an autopsy. Evidence found in the area has led the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office to a possible identity of a missing person, and the family of that person has been notified. The name will not be released publicly until identity is confirmed.
