Humboldt County Fire Slows Down

Containment has improved to 28% for the Boise Fire after thunderstorms moved into the area. The 12,880 acre fire started August 9th in Humboldt County near the town of Orleans and has spread across the county line into Trinity County. The Six Rivers National Forest and part of the Klamath are closed to the public. A number of evacuation orders and warnings remain in effect. The cause of the Boise Fire is still under investigation.
