An inmate has died in the Tehama County Jail. Correctional deputies were making their rounds on Saturday when they found the 60-year-old woman unresponsive in her cell. Life saving measures were attempted by deputies and then by arriving emergency medical personnel, but the woman could not be revived and was pronounced dead. The cause of death is not yet known. Identity is withheld until family is notified.
