Compared to other U.S. airports, Redding Regional Airport has a pretty good record for flights arriving and departing on time, according to industry analyst “Captain Experiences”. A study examined data from 350 airports during Spring Break weeks in 2022 and 2023. Redding ranked 181st on the list of most frequently delayed nonhub primary U.S. airports, with 9.1% of departures from Redding were delayed by at least 15 minutes, compared to a national average of 21.6%. Flights arriving to Redding more than 15 minutes late accounted for 12.9%, compared to a 22% national average.
