A judge has criticized a lawsuit by failed Shasta County Supervisor Candidate Laura Hobbs. In a hearing Monday Judge Stephen Baker told Hobbs that she showed a lack of diligence in failing to provide the court with proof of service, as he had previously instructed. He called the case defective and threatened to dismiss the whole case. It’s actually two cases- one against retired Registrar of Voters Cathy Darling-Allen and another against the winner in the race, Allen Long. Hobbs alleges irregularities in the elections process. A large contingent of Hobbs supporters was in attendance.
