Jury Finds Man Guilty For 2021 Murder In East Redding

A 29-year-old man has been convicted for the murder of an East Redding man two years ago. On the evening of June 25th, 2021 Supensive Lee shot 35-year-old Patrick Baker in the presence of his wife and 8-year-old daughter during an argument just outside Baker’s home at the Hacienda Apartments on Churn Creek Road. RPD Detectives identified Lee as the suspect and an arrest warrant was issued. A warrant was obtained for the getaway car and the GPS history was tracked to where the murder weapon was thrown into the Sacramento River. It was recovered by the Sheriff’s Dive Team, and it matched shell casings at the crime scene. Lee disappeared, but five months later police in Blaine, Minnesota made contact with him on a routine noise complaint and the warrant came up. Lee was found guilty by a jury Wednesday on a list of charges related to the shooting. He awaits sentencing after judge rules on aggravating factors Thursday.
