A large drug bust was made Monday morning. At 7:30AM Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a car for a violation on Northbound Interstate 5. The driver was 49-year-old Jason Michael Furgason and the passenger was 34-year-old Micaela Christine Pond. Both have been the subjects of a Redding Police investigation into possible Fentanyl distribution. Ace the K9 sniffed around and alerted to the scent of drugs so the car was searched. Deputies reported finding 3.3 Pounds of Fentanyl and 22 Grams of Meth, along with evidence of sales. Both Furgason and Pond were booked into jail on a Half Million Dollars bail, but Furgason has apparently bailed out.
