It was standing room only in Red Bluff when Congressman Doug LaMalfa held a town hall meeting Monday night. It lasted about 90 minutes, during which time he was repeatedly booed and heckled. Several people asked about possible cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the Food Stamp Program. LaMalfa said Medicaid is riddled with fraud and abuse – and that illegal immigrants are abusing food stamps. LaMalfa also held a town hall meeting in Chico Monday morning, and another will take place this Thursday evening in Susanville, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds.
