Larry Ohlmstead Is Leaving The United Way After 8 Years

The United Way of Northern California is losing their President after eight exceptional years of leadership. Larry Olmstead joined the UWNC in 2016 following five years as an executive at United Way Silicon Valley. During his time in Northern California, Olmstead has led the organization through an expansion of its staff, programming and revenue by more than five-fold. Accomplishments include providing financial assistance to more than 10,000 individuals and families affected by 14 major wildfires, opening the South Market Micro Shelter Transitional Housing Community, expanding the 2-1-1 Help Line and awarding Millions in grants to non-profits. He also has partnered with Chief Operating Officer Kalie Brisbon to establish “Building Bridges”, a program to promote civil discourse following the social justice movement a few years ago. Brisbon has been chosen to replace Olmstead. Larry will be a guest on the KQMS Morning Show on January 8th.
