The case against a Shasta County man accused of child molestation is delayed after his attorney quit. 40-year-old Peter Mock, a former CalFire captain, is facing 122 counts of child sexual assault. That number has been going up as additional alleged victims have continued to speak up. 46 of the charges were just added last month. Mock’s trial on the first set of charges was set to begin last week, but his attorney instead declared he had a conflict and withdrew. All of mock’s court dates will need to be rescheduled. He’s being held on $2 million bail
