County Health and Human Services wants to connect people to food services before they’re cut off from Cal-Fresh benefits at the end of the week due to the government shut down. Those needing continued food assistance can access several resources by calling 2-1-1 or speaking with a county community health advocate at 225-5285. WIC benefits and Cal-Works will be unaffected for the time being.
