A debate hosted by the Shasta County Republican Party will bring together State Assembly Candidates. It’ll take place Thursday evening starting at 6 O’clock at Sequoia Middle School’s Laughlin Auditorium. Assembly Candidates will include Redding City Councilmembers Tenessa Audette and Mark Mezzano, Anderson City Councilmember Melissa Hunt, businessman Gary Michaels and Heather Hedwick of Modoc County. Hedwick has been endorsed by current Assemblywoman Megan Dahle, who’s running for the State Senate seat that her husband Brian Dahle is being termed out from. Megan Dahle will not attend the Thursday debate but opponent Eric Early will be there. Organizers say there will also be debate among candidates for county and city positions.
