Local Groups Start Anti-Hate Campaign

With Antisemitic, Islamophobic, and other targeted attacks on the rise across the country, some local organizations have formed the Shasta County Stand Against Hate Campaign. Coordinated by Shasta County Citizens Advocating Respect, the campaign is distributing yard signs and flyers that say “Shasta County Stands United Against Hate” and “We Stand For Respect And Diversity”. People are encouraged to display them next week. They can be picked up for free at the First United Methodist Church at South and East Streets Monday through Friday from 9AM to Noon. There’s no charge, but voluntary $7 donations will be accepted to defray the cost.
