Local Political Forums Planned Ahead Of The November Presidential Election

A series of local political forums continues, sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Redding Area.

–Anderson City Council candidates will meet at Anderson City Hall Thursday at 6PM.
–Ballot proposition pros and cons will be discussed at the Methodist Church at East and South Streets in Redding October 7th from 6PM to 8PM.

A coalition of local environmental groups will hold a forum for Redding City Council candidates. Led by the Shasta Environmental Alliance, the groups intend to cover topics such as Turtle Bay, the Riverfront Specific Plan, the preservation of Redding’s tree canopy and protection for the river and creeks. The event will be Monday the 30th at 6PM at the First United Methodist Church at East and South Streets in Redding. More information at ecoshasta.org.
