Longtime Owner Of Kent’s Meats & Groceries Passes Away

Redding’s business community is mourning the loss of an East Redding market owner who started from scratch. Kent William Pfrimmer was the owner of Kent’s Meats and Groceries on Airport Road. He grew up learning the butcher trade from his father and worked with others in various meat retailers for years before establishing Kent’s, which he’s been running for the past 48 years. He supported a number of community causes, including 4-H and various sports teams. Kent was a very dedicated fan of the San Francisco 49ers and went to great lengths to watch them play. Kent passed away on Monday at his ranch in Cottonwood surrounded by family members, including his wife Kathy. A celebration of life for Kent Pfrimmer will take place on Saturday October 5th at 11AM inside Fusaro Hall at the Fairgrounds in Anderson.
