A Redding deli is going out of business. Lucky Miller’s is located on Athens Avenue after starting business in a hole-in-the-wall location on El Reno Drive in South Redding. A very enthusiastic and loyal customer base prompted the move to the former Subway site on Athens just off Cypress. There have been a number of issues with homeless people vandalizing the place at night, but the restaurant made it through Covid and is still profitable, according to owner Jason Miller. He announced on Sunday that he was closing immediately until the place is sold. It’s a turn-key operation and the new owner can keep the name and the recipes. Jason will even train the new owner on how to make everything and run the place. He says he’s already gotten inquiries from potential buyers.
