An overnight power outage is set for this Friday night for nearly 4,000 PG&E customers in the Manton and Shingletown areas. The 7 hour outage will last from 10 O’clock Friday night to 5 O’clock Saturday morning. The shutoff is necessary so crews can perform maintenance and upgrades at the Volta Substation near Manton. The utility says affected customers have been notified by mail and automated phone calls.
