Man Accused Of Molesting His Two Daughters Remains Out Of Custody

An Anderson man accused of molesting his two daughters has had his case postponed for a week. Shasta County Sheriff’s Detectives started investigating 47-year-old Joel Darrell Lockwood last July. They say he sexually abused the girls when they were between the ages of 10 and 16 at the family’s home on Pheasant Drive in Anderson. Lockwood was arrested in August on 12 counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14. He was freed after posting his $250,000 bail. Detectives continued to investigate and arrested Lockwood again in October on 24 additional counts. At that time his bail was set at a Million Dollars, which he again posted and he remains out of custody. He had a plea disposition set for Wednesday but it was continued for a long-cause preliminary hearing next Friday. The Sheriff’s Office says his wife, Deborah Lockwood, was told of the abuse by the victims but did nothing to stop it. She’s facing charges of child endangerment, and is also out of custody.
