A man led Trinity County Deputies on a long wild chase on mountain roads Thursday night. A deputy pulled over a GMC Sierra Pickup on Highway 3 near Beals Street in Hayfork and when he got out of his car and approached the truck, the driver fled at high speed through town before turning onto Hyampom Road. He fled for 11 miles, at times at more than 90 miles an hour while crossing double yellow lines on blind corners. At a dirt pullout, the driver made a U-turn and collided with a patrol car, then fled eastbound for a while before stopping and being captured with help from a K9. A loaded rifle was found in the truck. 37-year-old Josiah Claborn was booked into jail on several charges.
