There were two chases Thursday in Anderson that ended up with a suspect fleeing on foot into an apartment complex. At 9:45PM Thursday night a car was pulled over by the APD on Diamond Street. During the stop, a passenger identified as 34-year-old Tyrone Williams Jr of Fresno jumped out and took off running into the Diamond Street Apartments. With help from Redding Police, Sheriff’s Deputies and the CHP, an area search was done and it turned out he had run into an apartment with which officers had known him to be previously associated. The apartment was surrounded and after a short negotiation, Williams surrendered. 39-year-old Brenda Sanchez of Anderson was arrested for harboring him.
