Man Charged With Murder For Labor Day Crossbow Shooting

A Redding man has been formally charged with murdering a man with an arrow. The Shasta County District Attorney’s Office says the deadly projectile was actually shot from a crossbow. On Monday Redding Police were called to a home on Radio Lane in South Redding, where they found 46-year-old Salvador Rabago had been impaled through the chest by an arrow. He was pronounced dead after arriving at a hospital. 63-year-old Glen Stevenson was arraigned Thursday afternoon on a count of murder with a special enhancement for use of a deadly weapon. He returns to court September 11th. Stevenson has a lengthy criminal record and was already on probation for being a felon in possession of a gun. He’s being held without bail.
