A Shasta County judge has imposed the maximum possible sentence against a 33-year-old man for carrying on a sexual relationship with an underage girl and for domestic battery and strangulation. Brennon Christopher Crow was arrested by the sheriff’s office in Lakehead in April of last year after strangling his girlfriend to unconsciousness, with the loss of oxygen causing a traumatic brain injury. He also had made harassing phone calls and when deputies searched his cell phone they discovered he had arranged to meet an underage girl for sex several times and had secretly recorded a video of the two having sex, which he then distributed to other people. Crow was convicted in December for the domestic violence case and another jury found him guilty in January for the child sex charges. On Friday crow was sentenced for both cases to 17 years in state prison.
