A man caught in an Anderson Police sting operation targeting sexual child predators has been found guilty by a Shasta County jury. Conversations on Facebook in the Summer of 2021 between an undercover officer and 46-year-old Larry Michael Vick were initiated because of concerns stemming from a separate investigation. The chats began after the officer posed as a 16-year-old teenage runaway, but Vick continued the communications with detailed descriptions of the sexual acts he wanted to do with her. Vick arranged a meeting at a local hotel for sex and when he arrived he was arrested. Vick was convicted last Wednesday and he returns to court on the 31st.
