Man Found Guilty For 2020 Shooting Death

A man has been convicted of first-degree murder and felony evading with disregard for public safety. The Shasta County District Attorneys Office says James Joshua Noyes was convicted for the death of Emmanuel Vega. In October of 2020 Noyes went to a local Jack in the Box parking lot at 2:45AM and confronted Vega and his friends, whom he did not know. He then drew a firearm and shot and killed Vega. Noyes had a previous conviction with a prior strike for first degree burglary. The maximum sentence for these crimes is 75-years to life. He’ll be sentenced on March 29th.
