A wanted man was chased through Corning Sunday afternoon. The pursuit started when Tehama County Deputies attempted a traffic stop in the Los Molinos area. The chase entered Corning at Neva and Marguerite Avenue, and Corning Police took over the pursuit through town and out the other end near Houghton and Gallagher. They stayed behind the car until the CHP took over at Rawson and Gyle and continued to the Rancho Tehama area, where 35-year-old Jose Eduardo Madrigal Cervantes was taken into custody. He was booked into jail for felony evading, hit-and-run and outstanding felony warrants, with bail set at $100,000.
