A Tehama County man has been sentenced for committing what could be seen as an overused movie cliche that put a man in the hospital. 59-year-old Frank Oropeza the Third was arrested in October after deputies were called to St. Elizabeth Hospital to question an assault victim. He told deputies that he had gotten into an argument with Oropeza, and that Oropeza had hit him over the head multiple times with a pool cue. Oropeza admitted to the accusations. He’s been given six months in jail and a suspended 4 year prison sentence on the condition of 2 years probation.
