Man Sentenced To 15 Years To Life For Fatal Crash In Anderson In 2023

A 33-year-old man has been sentenced for a crash that killed a 61-year-old woman in Anderson while he was driving his pickup and chasing a rival on a motorcycle. On June 5th of 2023, Andrew Michael Millner was chasing motorcyclist Dennis Mize, with whom he was in a dispute that started online. Both ran multiple stoplights on their high speed reckless journey to Anderson before getting to Pinion Drive, where Millner ran the red light and broadsided a car. The driver, 61-year-old Susan Betty Young, died at the scene. Millner was driving under the influence of drugs and had a prior DUI. On July 1st Millner pled guilty to second degree murder and Thursday he was formally given the stipulated sentence of 15 years to life in state prison. An impact statement by one of Susan young’s daughters said the horrific preventable tragedy left them all empty and scared.
