A Redding man has been given a life sentence for a cold blooded murder and robbery committed 6 years ago. 27-year-old Devon Sutton-Wilson was ordered to serve 37-years-to-life in state prison. In September of 2017, Sutton Wilson, along with Brooklyn Hill and Isaiah Williams, happened to run into two high school acquaintances at a gas station, 19-year-old Joshua Ahlberg and then-18-year-old Coleman Yount. They all agreed to go hang out at Ahlberg and Yount’s apartment on Heavenly Oaks Lane. Once there, Williams pulled out a gun and the trio robbed them of jewelry, video games and other items. Williams shot Ahlberg in the back of the head. Williams has already been sentenced to 50-years-to-life. Hill has also been sentenced, and her mother was charged with trying to get rid of the murder weapon. During Wednesday’s sentencing hearing, many of Ahlberg’s friends and family filled the courtroom and Ahlberg’s parents expressed the sorrow of losing their only child.
