Man Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison For Beating His Girlfriend

A 28-year-old man has been sentenced in Tehama County for beating and kidnapping his girlfriend. Sergio Bonilla and the victim had been dating for ten months when they got into an argument in July while Bonilla was driving. As he continued driving, Bonilla struck the woman multiple times. He refused to let her out of the car and drove her to his home against her will. Convicted of corporal injury to a cohabitant and dissuading a witness, both of them felonies, Bonilla has been sentenced to 4 years in state prison.
