Man Sentenced To Jail Term After Felony Domestic Violence Conviction

A 45-year-old Shasta County man who was convicted of domestic violence has been sentenced. In 2022, Andrew Fink and his wife had been married for 24 years when he strangled her almost to unconsciousness. A few weeks ago a jury found Fink guilty on two felony charges. They also agreed that he’s a danger to society, that he violated a position of trust with the victim and that the crime involved great violence. Fink was sentenced on Friday to 364 days in county jail and 3 years probation. He must complete a 52 week batterers treatment program, pay over $2,000 restitution and may not contact the victim for ten years.
