A Shasta County murderer has been sentenced to life in prison. In September of 2017, 25-year-old Isaiah Williams killed 19-year-old Joshua Ahlberg and tried to kill then-18-year-old Coleman Yount inside an apartment on Heavenly Oak Lane in East Redding. Officers found evidence at the scene that led them to a home on Willis Street, where Williams was arrested along with two other people, Brooklyn Hill and Devin Sutton-Wilson, both of whom remain in Shasta County Jail awaiting disposition of their cases. During Tuesday’s sentencing hearing the victim’s family showed videos and slideshows of Joshua growing up. Williams was sentenced to 50-years-to-life in state prison.
