Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For 2021 Killing

A killer who was tracked down many miles away has been sentenced for the shooting death of an East Redding man. On the evening of June 25th, 2021 29-year-old Supensive Lee shot 35-year-old Patrick Baker in the presence of his wife and 8-year-old daughter during an argument just outside Baker’s apartment on Churn Creek Road. RPD Detectives identified Lee as the suspect. A warrant was obtained for the getaway car and the GPS history was tracked to where the murder weapon was thrown into the Sacramento River. It was recovered by the Sheriff’s Dive Team, and it matched shell casings at the crime scene. Lee fled the state, but five months later police in Minnesota made contact with him on a routine noise complaint and the warrant came up. Lee was found guilty by a jury last month. On Friday a judge ordered Lee to serve 55-years-to-life plus another 33 years for charges that included the killing of Baker.
