A man has pled guilty to a series of drunk driving crashes on South Market Street that was caught on camera last month. The footage October 12th from the Fast Stop Gas Station shows a Volkswagon station wagon driven by 26-year-old Evan Michael Hall rear-ending an older Ford pickup in front of the Good News Rescue Mission. The Volkswagon then made a wide u-turn into the gas station and collided head-on with a car at the pumps. Hall mashed the accelerator and pushed the other car a few feet, then shifted into reverse and backed away, colliding with another car and a pedestrian. Bystanders then removed Hall from the car and Redding Police arrived soon after. Hall had a blood-alcohol level almost four times the legal limit, and he was on probation for domestic violence and criminal threats. Last week he was sentenced to 4 years 4 months in state prison.
