A pedestrian was hit by a car in East Redding before sunrise on Saturday. At 6:17AM the unidentified male was crossing Hilltop Drive outside of a crosswalk south of Presidio when he was struck by a northbound sedan. He was hospitalized with major injuries. Redding Police say it was dark and raining and the man was wearing dark clothing when he ran into the street. They also say the driver was not impaired and was not speeding.
