Man Wanted By Federal Immigration Officers Arrested In Corning

Corning Police turned a man into immigration authorities Tuesday afternoon following a traffic stop. A Chevy Tahoe was stopped on 99-W in Corning for expired registration and the driver allegedly consented to a search. Officers say that as a passenger, 38-year-old Nicole Crouse, stepped out of the SUV, a large plastic bag containing Methamphetamine fell from her jacket. She also was carrying a concealed dagger, and she was booked into jail. Another passenger claimed to be someone who he was not. Officers learned he was actually 43-year-old Salvador Valdovinos, who was previously deported for an aggravated felony and was wanted by federal immigration officers.
