A Red Bluff attempted murder suspect has been captured after a couple of weeks on the lam. 40-year-old Thurman Franks was wanted for allegedly shooting a Red Bluff man April 14th. Police say Franks was arguing with another 40-year-old man about personal property when Franks shot the man in the leg. On Saturday Tehama County Deputies were told that Franks was hiding out at a home on Crosby Lane. The person who answered the door confirmed that, and allowed deputies to come in. They first called for help from Red Bluff Police, the CHP and Cal-Fire. Franks was in a rear bedroom behind a deadbolt-locked door and refused to come out or speak. After almost an hour the door was broken down and Franks was taken into custody after a struggle.
