A man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to child abuse in August in a Shasta County courtroom. 28-year-old Robert Jerome Gray Jr. was arrested by Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies in April. He had caused bruising and abrasions to the heads, faces and bodies of two children, ages 2 and 3. He pleaded guilty to two counts of felony child abuse, as well as felony domestic violence, and also admitted a prior strike. Gray was sentenced last week to over 13 years in state prison.
