A Redding man has been sentenced for a violent incident at Safeway. 45-year-old Israel Snyder got into a fight in the parking lot and a security guard intervened to break up the fight. Snyder then got in his car and drove it at the guard, striking him, before driving away. The car’s bumper fell off with the license plate attached, so Redding Police were easily able to track Snyder down at his home and arrest him for assault with a deadly weapon and drunk driving. In July a jury found him guilty of all charges and enhancements. He’s been sentenced to 5 years in state prison.
