A 28-year-old Redding man has been convicted of grossly negligent discharge of a firearm. Last April 15th Brandon Charles Kaefer walked to the Parkview Market, where he got into a loud argument with someone he knew. He then pulled out a handgun and fired twice toward City Hall and the Police Station. Kaefer was still there when police arrived and he was identified on surveillance video. A jury found him guilty last Tuesday and this Wednesday a judge will rule on aggravating factors.
