Timothy Thomas Taylor will never know freedom again. The 58-year-old Shasta County man told his victims that they didn’t get to be like other kids because the outside world was filled with evil and monsters. That was detailed in an impact statement by one victim that was read during Friday’s sentencing hearing. It went on to say they never believed him because he was a monster himself, but they escaped and now they’re free. Taylor’s horrific crimes against multiple victims spanned nearly 30 years at his home on Cortez Drive at the northern edge of Redding. In July a jury found Taylor guilty of 60 felony charges and many special allegations. On Friday he was sentenced to 830 years to life in prison plus two additional life sentences.
