Man Will Stand Trial In April Of 2024 For DUI Crash That Killed Anderson Woman

Trial dates have been set for a man charged in the death of a woman in Anderson during an apparent road rage incident. 31-year-old Andrew Millner was driving a pickup truck and allegedly chasing motorcyclist Dennis Mize on June 5th. They were in a dispute that started online, apparently due to disrespectful comments Mize made about a woman Millner was dating. Both ran multiple stoplights on the way to Anderson before getting to Pinion Drive, where Millner ran the red light and broadsided a car. The driver, 61-year-old Susan Betty Young, died at the scene. Millner’s charges include murder and driving under the influence of drugs with a prior DUI. He remains in jail without bail. Settlement conferences and readiness hearings are scheduled, and a jury trial is set to begin April 3rd.
