March Trial Date Set For Men Accused Of 2024 Double Murder In South Redding

A trial date has been set for two Redding men accused in a deadly shooting that left two people dead and three others wounded. Trevon Evanoff and Andrew Greer-Herrera are charged with two counts of first-degree murder and three counts of assault, in connection with the October 4th, 2024 shooting on Meadowbrook Drive near the Westwood Village Shopping Center. Five people were shot in the early morning hours that day. Two of the victims—30-year-old Winfred Avant Jr. and 22-year-old Isaiah Jacob Stanley—were killed. A week later, both suspects were taken into custody. Greer-Herrera, the alleged shooter, was arrested at a home near Dorris. Evanoff was found in Sparks, Nevada. A trial readiness conference is set for March 11, 2026, with jury selection scheduled to begin March 17th.
